ABOUT
Hi! I’m Ria a multidisciplinary visual artist and designer who loves mixing graphic design, illustration, textiles and movement. I create bold, colourful visuals – from brands and books to wearable pieces – with a focus on composition, feeling and story.

About me
Ing. arch. Marianna Záňová
I’m a visual artist and designer who blends graphic design, illustration, textile and movement. I enjoy creating across media – from book layouts and digital collages to photography, hand-painted coats, embroidery or custom-designed objects. My work is colourful, layered, often experimental – yet always built on composition, expression and function.
I graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at STU in Bratislava, where I received several awards during my studies, including a nomination for the Prof. J. Lacko Award in the national competition for the best diploma thesis by graduates of architecture schools in Slovakia. Architectural thinking taught me to understand relationships between space, shape and visual rhythm – a way of thinking I now bring into graphic design and visual storytelling.
I create for both print and digital – designing visual identities, campaigns, books, posters, animated visuals and illustrations for a wide range of platforms. Alongside graphic work, I also explore textiles and physical objects – I sew, paint, embroider, and often combine artistic techniques with a design-driven approach.
Some of my projects are wearable, others are meant for space or screen – but all are tied together by a strong, personal visual language.
I work with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, ) and have a basic knowledge of Figma. I understand UX principles and how visual design shapes user experience. I also work with video editing and animation, and actively explore creative uses of artificial intelligence – as a tool for visual exploration, concept development or narrative flow.
Currently, I’m expanding my knowledge in digital marketing with a focus on visual communication, which helps me connect design with strategy and meaning. My goal is to create visuals that are not only beautiful but also memorable and meaningful.
If you’re looking for someone who brings together visual sensitivity, creative thinking and hands-on experience, I’d love to collaborate on something with impact and soul.
